The Faculty of Humanities was formed in September 2014 by merging the former Faculty of Philosophy and the Faculty of Arts. The academic staff works for one of three faculty departments, namely:
- Language, Literature and Communication
- Art and Culture, History, Antiquity
The Dutch Elsevier survey shows that several of the study programmes offered by the Faculty of Humanities are actually the best in the Netherlands.
- The course list below contains only the courses the Faculty contributes to the PPE programme (or participates in – in case of an integrative course). The Faculty of Humanities offers also other courses, part of other bachelor and master programmes.
- The faculty list below contains only the researchers/lecturers involved in the PPE programme. The Faculty of Humanities as a whole consists of a larger body of people.
