Welcome to the John Stuart Mill College, VU Amsterdam!

  • About our PPE Programme

Our bachelor Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) will prepare you for future leadership positions in business, politics, academia, and beyond. It offers thorough knowledge of the three core disciplines, and teaches students to apply this in an integrated way. It offers extensive possibilities for a period of study abroad or an internship. Our programme is small scale and intensive, and courses in the programme include guest lectures by international renowned scholars and leaders from the world of economics and politics. In short: an exciting programme for tomorrow’s leaders!

    Campus / College Life

For many reasons the Netherlands is a great place to study. The John Stuart Mill College is an excellent choice. It is part of VU Amsterdam, a Dutch campus-based university at a 15 minute train ride from the historical centre of Amsterdam. The College has its own housing on campus. It offers – among others – room to the PPE Student Society and accommodates extra-curricular activities like the PPE Incubator Projects and the PPE Undergraduate Conference and Journal. Studying PPE at our College means becoming part of an active intellectual and social community!
